Trump never stops talking, unlike Joe Biden
For four years, reporters could hardly get a word out of Joe Biden. Reporters like their president to be available as often as possible: holding regular ress conferences, throwing out the odd comment when coming out of the White House or climbing into his helicopter, or going for a bike ride. One comment can make a difference to a reporter's life. But Biden wasn't that interested most of the time. The number of briefings he held in the White House could be counted on one, well maybe two, hands, in four years. That's like having a president in purdah. Then off goes Joe into retirement and in comes Donald Trump who just won't stop talking. If a reporter asks a question he gets an answer. The reason is, Trump likes to be in the news. All the time. He wants to be the headline every day. It's the way he is. Unlike Joe who just wanted to get on with his job as best he could without interference from the media. It's for this reason that most reporters in the US, and especially the White House lot, will be delighted to have Trump back. It's so much more fun and a helluva lot more interesting.
