Joe Biden is healthy and raring to go

Happy Birthday Joe Biden, 79 today. And, according to his official doctor, healthy and fit apart from a stiffness in the spine, a need to clear the throat a lot and high blood pressure. We normal souls get to hear all these fascinating details because he's the president of the United States and the doctor in question is required to reveal all, never mind Biden's personal data rights. So it's fortunate he doesn't suffer from anything that might be more embarrassing. But now we know why he coughs a lot during speeches and looks like he has a rod of steel in his back. But for someone who is one year away from being an octogenarian, President Biden is in tip-top health and looks pretty likely to have a go at a second four-year term. He has more than three years to get his first-term legacy sorted out but once his $1.75 trillion social programme has been passed through Congress he will be more confident of winning again in 2024. The House of Representatives has just approved the bill, so it's looking good for him. Age will definitely be an issue in 2024 but then if Trump stands again, he's getting on too so the former one-term won't be able to play that card. Anyway let's forget about 2024 for the moment.
